Longtime follower and listener (also a fusion musician in the Hudson County/NYC area) ~ love this latest mix, currently soundtracking my work at the office where I do my business. If I may ask, do you have any recommendations for additional blogs to follow, or also, any insight as to where you find these beautiful, rare tunes? (That goes for everything; Mariah’s ‘Utakata No Hibi’ is one of my favorite albums of all time)
hi joshua, thanks for the nice words! this is goofy to admit but i don’t read music blogs very much, probably because they keep going defunct. i will say that i’m a big fan of 20 jazz funk greats, and that i still miss mutant sounds. most of these records are things i’ve found trawling youtube and discogs, or have been passed along to me by someone else. i hope that helps, cheers!
